Effective date: March 20, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of InstaDomain and any domain registration services provided through it. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
InstaDomain is a domain name registration service. We facilitate domain registration on your behalf through OpenSRS, a service of Tucows Inc., which acts as the ICANN-accredited registrar of record. InstaDomain is not itself an ICANN-accredited registrar.
All domain registrations are subject to the policies of OpenSRS/Tucows and ICANN. By using InstaDomain, you also agree to the OpenSRS Registrar Agreement.
Domains registered through InstaDomain are registered in your name. You are the legal registrant and owner of the domain. InstaDomain is listed as the administrative and technical contact solely for the purpose of service management and support. This does not grant InstaDomain any ownership rights over your domain.
You must provide accurate registrant contact information as required by ICANN. This includes your name, address, email, and phone number. Providing false or misleading contact information may result in your domain being suspended or cancelled by the registrar or ICANN.
You are responsible for keeping your registrant contact information current. Material changes must be reported promptly.
WHOIS privacy protection is enabled by default on all domain registrations where supported by the TLD registry. This masks your personal contact information in public WHOIS records at no extra charge. You may request that WHOIS privacy be disabled by contacting us.
You can transfer your domain to another registrar at any time after the 60-day ICANN lock period following registration. Transfer authorization codes are available via the API. InstaDomain will not obstruct or delay outbound transfers.
Transfers to InstaDomain from other registrars are not currently supported.
InstaDomain does not operate a traditional account system. Each purchase is tracked by a unique order ID provided at checkout. You are responsible for retaining your order ID for future reference.
As a domain registrant, you have rights and responsibilities under ICANN policy. These include the right to accurate information about your registration, the right to transfer your domain, and the right to renew your domain subject to the registrar's terms. For the full list, visit ICANN Registrant Rights and Responsibilities.
Domain name disputes are subject to ICANN's Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP). InstaDomain will comply with UDRP decisions and any orders from courts of competent jurisdiction.
Domains purchased through InstaDomain are configured with DNS hosting on Cloudflare. We provide scoped Cloudflare API tokens so you can manage your DNS records programmatically. You are free to change your nameservers and manage DNS independently at any time.
DNS hosting is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee any specific level of uptime or availability for DNS resolution, and we are not liable for any downtime or DNS propagation delays.
You agree not to use domains registered through InstaDomain for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to fraud, phishing, distribution of malware, or any activity that violates applicable law.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate service and cooperate with law enforcement if we determine, at our sole discretion, that a domain is being used for abusive or illegal purposes.
InstaDomain is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, InstaDomain shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
InstaDomain is not responsible for failures, outages, or errors caused by third-party services, including but not limited to OpenSRS (domain registration), Cloudflare (DNS hosting), and Stripe (payment processing). These services are governed by their own terms and service level agreements.
InstaDomain may terminate or suspend your access to the service for violations of these Terms or applicable law. Termination of service does not affect your ownership of domains that have been successfully registered. Your domains remain registered with OpenSRS and you retain full rights as the registrant.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in the courts of the State of California.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at this URL. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
